Lollipop Crafts Challenge: We're Thankful

Hello, Bloggers!  Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We had a nice, quiet Turkey Day luncheon at our home.  As usual, I ate way too much.  I sure did enjoy every bite, though!

I'm a little late with this posting (OOPS!), but you still have time to enter the current challenge over at Lollipop Crafts: We're Thankful.  The challenge runs through the month of November.

Recently, a friend of mine RAK'ed this super cute Latte Anya stamp to me!  I was so surprised and excited! I'm a coffee gal for sure.  I have a cup every day.  Before we bought our Keurig last year, I made a daily stop at Starbuck's for an Americano.  When we were dating, my hubby would surprise me at work with Starbuck's.  I think he just wanted an excuse to come and see me.  TEE HEE  It was very sweet!

Well, I just had to use Latte Anya right away.  I knew I wanted to go with brown paper and include some pink and green.  I had the perfect 6 x 6 paper pad by Simple Stories.  It's their Baby Steps line.  I'm sure you never would have guessed that this paper was from a baby line, huh?  LOL

I wanted her hat to have a pattern to it, so I paper pieced her hat using paper from the same line.  The button was also paper pieced.  Ribbon was from my stash.

Thanks for looking!  See you in a few days with another project!

Lollipop Crafts Sponsor Spotlight: Sparkle Creations

Hey, Bloggers!  It's Wednesday and also the first day of summer break for my oldest daughter.  I'm looking forward to spending more time with her while she's on break.  Tuesday night, we painted our toenails and watched a movie while having kettle corn and M & M's.  I really do enjoy our girl time together!

Well, on to my project!  This week's sponsor spotlight over at Lollipop Crafts is on Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps.  I used Swimming Lucy for my card.  Doesn't she look so nice and relaxed floating along?  Makes me want to go to the beach!  LOL

I turned to my trusty Copics to ink her up.  I added pink Stickles to the flower in her hair and orange Stickles to the butterfly.  I used Glossy Accents on her bikini top.

Then, I turned to my stash to put the card together.  Now, I know a lot of you are probably like me.  I tend to be more of a scrapbook supply collector than anything else!  *sigh*  Well, no more of that !  I'm determined to dust off some of my tools and supplies and USE them!

So, I turned to my Nestabilities Labels One set to cut out this image.  I can't even remember the last time I used that set!  For the patterned paper, I found some bright, fun paper in my stash.  Then, I took out one of my Tim Holtz rosette dies.  I actually own both rosette dies.  One die has one rosette and the other die has two, smaller rosettes.  I used the die with the two small rosettes.  I think the last time I used this die was almost a year ago.  I layered one rosette on the other and then placed them in the upper left corner of the card to resemble the sun.

I initially tried to stamp the sentiment using a Hero Arts stamp, but I didn't like how it looked.  So, I typed it out on the computer and printed it out.  I then matted it and raised it on pop dots to help balance out the card a bit.

I'm really happy that I used my Tim Holtz die, Nesties, and this paper from my stash!  Not only am I trying to force myself to use my stuff, but it's also a good way to get me to do different things with my cards.

Well, hope you all have a fun day today.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Aloha!

Cool Dude (Lollipop Crafts Challenge)

Hello, bloggers!  This week's challenge over at Lollipop Crafts is "For Him".  I used a digi from The Paper Shelter called Cockatoo Rules.  I fell in love with this guy the moment I saw him!  I think he's just hilarious with his spiked feathers on top, his shades, and his leather jacket.  My boyfriend -- like many men -- wants to one day buy a bike.  So, I immediately though of him when I saw this digi.

What I also love about this digi is that it comes in a colored version!  I love my Copics, but sometimes, I'm just really not in the mood to color.  I loved that I was able to size this digi, print it,and not have to fuss with coloring.

For my pp, I turned to my stash and used one of my all-time favorite Basic Grey lines:  Lime Rickey.  I bought every single piece in the collection.  Okay, I've done that with a lot of Basic Grey collections, but with Lime Rickey, I even bought multiples of many of the pieces.  The one sheet from the collection with the birds on it was perfect for this card.  I matted a strip of the colorful, rainbow paper and used it at the bottom.  In my mind, it's the road that the bird is riding on.  LOL  The sentiment was computer-generated.

Well, hope you all have a great Hump Day!  I've got a laundry list of things to-do!  Ta-Ta For Now! :)
