A Mother's Heart Is A Patchwork of Love Blog Hop: Day Two

Welcome to the "A Mother's Heart is a Patchwork of Love Blog Hop".
If you came from Tahi's blog, then you are on the right path.  If not, you can start at the begining of the hop with our hostess :  Lisa at Honeybearz Designs.
I am so excited to have you hopping with us!!! Each blogger participating in this hop is featuring a project having to do with Mother's Day. This super-fun hop will be showcasing cards, layouts and projects that feature anything and everything to do with that special day Mother's Day. You'll find an array of ideas throughout this hop. From decorations to gift ideas and more, we hope you'll enjoy each and every project along the way!! Be sure to leave a comment at each hop stop to show all the participants a little love.

Our hostess, Lisa, has an abundance of blog candy she will be giving away. Here is a list of all the different sponsors she has for this hop. Lisa will have more details on her blog pertaining to the blog candy.

Now on to my project:

One of the things on my bucket list is to learn how to sew.  My grandmother was a pretty good seamstress.  In fact, she sewed my Mom's wedding gown as well as the wedding gowns of a few of my Mom's cousins and friends.  My Mom was my grandma's assistant and would help her with some of the easier sewing tasks.  Sewing is one of those things that always makes me think of my grandma.  So, I thought a sewing machine image would be great for a Mother's Day card.

What I love about this image is that it doesn't require a lot of coloring.  LOL  I paired it with some green cardstock that I embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and then added some pink ribbon.  Simple but pretty!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day today.  I ran a ton of errands on Saturday so I could relax and just enjoy the day with my daughters.

Please hop on over to Anita's blog next!  Below is the complete lineup in case you get lost along the way:
