Lollipop Crafts Two Year Blogaversary Aug. 1-4

Hello, Bloggers!  Hopefully, you have just arrived from Alanna's blog.  If not, don't worry.  You'll get up to speed in just a sec!

Lollipop Crafts Challenge Blog is celebrating its two-year anniversary with a blog hop!  The hop starts today, August 1st, and runs through August 4th.  That gives you plenty of time to participate for a chance to win a prize. Please visit each of the DT members' blogs where we have hidden a few prizes.  We also have two chances for you to win on the Lollipop Crafts Challenge Blog -- one chance just for commenting and a second chance by participating in our challenge.  Speaking of challenges, the theme and challenge for this hop is "Celebrations", so be sure to incorporate that theme into your project!

For this hop, each of the DT members is showcasing a digi from a different sponsor.  We won't tell you who the sponsor is, though.  That's part of the fun!

We also have Barbara joining us for this hop.  She was on our very first design team, and we are so excited to have her join us.

Now, on to my project!

I chose to work with this adorable frog digi called "Don't Rain On My Parade".  I knew I had the perfect paper to pair it with.  The raindrops and umbrellas worked so well with this image.  I colored the digi with Copics and, of course, I just had to add Glossy Accents to the umbrella and the raindrops.  I couldn't forget to add Googly eyes to both the frog and the sun -- which was an svg file from svgcuts.com.

Now, to add some whimsy to this card, I decided to use an Action Wobble on the sun.  I actually cut the sun out twice and then adhered the two layers together with pop dots.  I felt that the sun needed something, so I first added some color to the rays with a Copic marker.  I added the Googly eyes and drew in the smile.

The bottom left picture shows my daughter pulling on the sun gently.  The bottom right picture shows what happens after she let go of the sun.  IT WOBBLES!  How fun and cool is that, huh?

Thanks so much for joining our hop.  Please don't forget to visit everyone.  The complete list of blog stops is listed at the bottom in case you get lost along the way.  Your next stop is :  Joanna

Cheeky Beach Summer Card For A Swap

Hello, Friends!  Yes, I'm actually posting for the third time in one week.  I know I was MIA for a while, but I actually needed a break from crafting!  It's been a tedious process, but it's a lot to go through -- probably ten years' worth of stuff!  I've sold and donated a bunch of supplies.   But, I have also BOUGHT some new stuff, too!

I guess it boiled down to "out with the old, and in with the new" as they say!  It was just time for some of my stuff to move on to a home where they would be put to use or appreciated.  It was also time for me to get some fresh, new stuff and to also look into expanding on what I do creatively.  I like trying new products and techniques, and I like pushing myself to try different things.

Anyway, speaking of trying different things, here is a card I created recently for a swap hosted by Shirl.  I used to participate in tons of swaps.  Once, I was signed up for 22 swaps AT ONE TIME!  Oh, boy, was that a stressful time!  LOL  Well, I decided to sign up for Shirl's swap to force myself to do a summer-themed project.  You would think that I do a lot of these being that I live in Hawaii where summer is pretty much year-round, but no. I don't.

I made this card for my partner using this bright, fun line of beach-themed papers.  Love those surfboards! I stamped a Greeting Farm image from their Cheeky line (love the Cheeky girls!) and colored her with Copics.     I added pink Stickles to her flower.

I also added Glossy Accents to her beach ball.

I also lined the inside of the card.  It's not something I always do, simply because I'm lazy.  LOL

Here is the card with a RAK for my partner.  I gave her a Cheeky Beach stamp of her own.

Well, that's all for now, folks!  Hope you have a great day!  Aloha!

The Magical Life of Fairies Blog Hop July 17th

Welcome to our Blog Hop, the Magical Life of Fairies. What little girl doesn’t dream of carrying a fairy in her pocket? They are so tiny and beautiful. They have beautiful wings and long pretty hair. This is what comes to mind when I think of fairies. Today, we have a lot of talented women that want to show off their beautiful fairies that they created.  So please join the party and fly around with us!!!

Photobucket

Oh, silly me, I forgot to mention we have some wonderful Blog Candy!!! The Scrapbook Stamp Society has agreed to sponsor the hop and will offer $12 worth of FREE fairy related digis as a prize for this hop. All you have to do is visit every blog and leave a comment. We would sure love it if you would start following our blogs, also.
If you want to start at the beginning of the hop and work your way down, go to Pamela's blog.

For my project, I created a card using Sugar Plum Fairy from Tiddlyinks. I love this fairy image ! I decided to make her a birthday fairy, but you could use her as a tooth fairy or any other kind of fairy, too! Of course, I just HAD TO use lots of Stickles on her because, a fairy is not a fairy unless she has lots of sparkly glitter -- at least, in my book she must! LOL   The sentiment was computer-generated and punched out with a Stampin' Up! oval punch. I inked the edges of the sentiment, image and cupcake cardstock with Tim Holtz distress ink. I finished the card off with some sheer ribbon, twine, and the perfect charm: a fairy, of course!

Thank you for flying by! Now I must send you to the next stop on our hop: Callyann's blog to see what she's created for this magical fairy hop! Remember -- for a chance to win the blog candy, you must visits each blog and leave a comment!

Lemonade Blog Hop: July 15th !

Summertime! What better time than to kick back with a cool drink of lemonade?  Pure and sweet, sour and refreshing all at the same time -- it's a summer staple and something we're celebrating with this Lemonade Blog Hop.

Our hostess for the Lemonade Blog Hop is Erica of Erica's Craft Room (www.mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com). You may have come across this Hop by visiting my blog, or you could have come here from Maria's blog. If you missed any of the stops and want to start at the beginning, please be sure to go to Erica's blog.

For my project, I created a mini hand sanitizer holder. I've made them before for birthday party favors and for Halloween. They turn out really cute! I decided to make one using the Lemon Sunshine Slush antibacterial gel from Bath & Body Works.

I wanted to use pink and yellow for my project, so I took some pink cardstock and pretty pink polka dot paper and cut the holder using an SVG file I made myself. The lemon was cut from the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge. I added googly eyes for a fun effect and cut the cheeks out with a hole punch since my Cricut cuts crooked circles! :( I cut two layers of the lemon and inked the edges. I raised the top lemon layer with pop dots to create dimension. The yellow checked and ruffled ribbon was purchased from a private seller in a buy/sell group. I thought it would be perfect to add some more color and frill to this! The sentiment was computer generated and cut out with the SU! word window punch. I went with "stay sweet" for a playful touch since lemons certainly aren't sweet! LOL! Okay, maybe it's my weird sense of humor, but I thought it was a cute idea! LOL I found this Lemon Sunshine Slush mini hand gel on my last visit to Bath & Bodyworks. Doesn't it sound yummy and refreshing? Of course, it's not made for human consumption, but it sure does sound delish! Well, I hope you enjoyed your visit! Your next stop on the Lemonade Blog Hop is:  Cicily's blog.

For a lot of very "a-peel-ing" projects, one sure to give your creative juices a squeeze, be sure to visit all of the stops, which are:
